    near extinct variety was found on the island of Kastela near Split.

    Primitivo is the “Italian version” of Zinfandel
    that is grown in Puglia

    White Zinfandel was made in the 1970s. This is a rosé
    version with lower alcohol levels and a sweeter profile.
