  • Try this Korean BBQ marinade as an alternative BBQ sauce! Great with assorted meats and vegetarian options.

    Korean BBQ Beef Short Ribs Recipe

    Serves 4

    Ingredients:

    1 kg (2 lbs) beef short ribs

    Korean BBQ Marinade:

    80 ml (1/3 cup) soy sauce

    60 ml (1/4 cup) brown sugar

    30 ml (2 tbsp) medium sweet white wine

    60 ml (1/4 cup) pear, finely grated

    2.5 ml (1/2 tsp) onion powder

    10 ml (2 tsp) garlic, minced

    10 ml (2 tsp) ginger, minced

    30 ml (2 tbsp) water

    15 ml (1 tbsp) sesame oil

    2.5 ml (1/2 tsp) black pepper

    Directions:

    1. Whisk all marinade ingredients in a bowl.
    2. Add beef short ribs. Mix well to coat. Cover and marinade overnight.
    3. To BBQ, once grill is hot, brush with vegetable oil. Cook marinated beef short ribs for 2 minutes on each side until caramelised.
